Arizona for Better Medicaid Commends Governor Ducey and Arizona Legislature for Passing Measure to Ensure Continued Care for Arizonans During COVID-19

Arizona for Better Medicaid commends Governor Ducey and the Arizona Legislature for passing a measure to increase AHCCCS’ federal expenditure authority from $2.4 billion to $3 billion.

(Phoenix, Ariz., March 22, 2021) Arizona for Better Medicaid, a multi-stakeholder group supporting Medicaid and Managed Care in Arizona, commends Governor Ducey and the Arizona Legislature for passing a measure to increase AHCCCS’ federal expenditure authority from $2.4 billion to $3 billion. These federal funds, already allocated for Arizona, ensure continued access to care for Medicaid members across the state during the COVID-19 public health emergency. This measure also guarantees Arizona receives the COVID-19 relief dollars it is entitled to while providing economic and health care stability for individuals and families across the state.
